On the southern tip of Dorchester – along the Neponset River Trail – stands Cedar Grove Cemetery, a graveyard dating back to 1867.

Cedar Grove actually holds a certain distinction — according to Ripley's Believe It or Not, it's the only cemetery in the country with an active trolley running through it.

(Part of the Red Line, the Ashmont-Mattapan historic streetcars are remnants of a much larger trolley system that has since been replaced).

In Jamaica Plain, the beautiful Forest Hills Cemetery is home to many historic Bostonians, as well as many peculiar sculptures and monuments.
