One month to go.
September 1 is Boston's most notorious day of the year. Not only is it the one day nearly all college students return, but it's also moving day for tens of thousands of others.
Nearly 80% (!) of the city's rental leases begin on September 1. That means that altogether, this year, over 180,000 people will be moving into a new place on Labor Day.
In a certain neighborhood, the day is nicknamed Allston Christmas — the streets are filled with free furniture, appliances, and knickknacks for the grabbing. A new crowdfunded 12-episode web series will show just how crazy the day can get.
